Humans come in a wild variety of heights and body types, ranging from slender to heavy and short to tall. Add some of that variety to your characters with Phenotypes for Genesis 8 Females, a collection of a dozen scaling shapes.
What is a scaling shape?
A regular shape preset moves the mesh of the figure, so for clothing to fit that shape, it has to be manually or automatically fitted in the clothing. As we all know, sometimes that doesn't always look very good.
Scaling shapes use a combination of figure scaling and mild shaping to dramatically change the height or build of the figure, all while leaving clothing meshes virtually undisturbed, by simply adjusting to fit.
Scaling shapes also combine easily with almost every existing character morph and add-on, including complex geografts. Take your existing characters in whole new directions — make them taller, shorter, or stockier.
3 Foot Tall & 9 Foot Tall
Using references from the tallest and shortest known humans, the body proportions on these shapes have been chosen for realism and ease of use. Twenty-one shaping presets from shortest to tallest have been included so you can click through until your character is just right.
Banana, Hourglass, Husky, Pear, Slender, Strawberry
The “fruit” shapes describe common body ratios with variations of the shoulder, waist, and hip measurements, as well as body types. Mix in a little or a lot to give your figure a little more up top, skinnier, or heavier build.
Chibi & Semi Chibi
These stylized shapes create ratios found in comics and cartoons. The Chibi shape changes both the body and head proportions and the Semi Chibi enlarges only the head.
Neck Long & Torso Long
Due to the variety of shapes existing for Genesis 8 Female, not all of them look great with some of the more extreme Phenotype shapes. Use Torso Long or Neck Long to adjust the torso and neck so everything works together more nicely. Or use them on their own for weird new looks!
