Additional Details

Right clicking on the icon for this script, in the Content Library pane, will provide you with a context menu that contains a menu item titled “Create Custom Action”. Selecting this option will do as it suggests, and create a Custom Action for the script, but it will also add it to a “Scripts” menu in the Main Menu Bar - so that you do not have to repeatedly navigate to the script in the Content Library pane to run it. You can use the Customize feature in DAZ Studio to assign it a keyboard shortcut, relocate it to another menu, or to make it a button on one of the toolbars. This is a standard feature of DAZ|Studio, for native asset types (*.daz, *.ds, *.dsb).

When executed, the script will launch a dialog - allowing you to select the options you'd like to use. In the lower left corner of the dialog you will find a “What's This?” button. This button is used to provide interactive help for the dialog. Simply clicking the button will put you in “What's This?” mode, changing the cursor to an arrow and question mark, at which point you can click on a widget within the dialog to show a brief (and sometimes, not so brief) description of the purpose of the widget and perhaps some supporting information - if a description for the widget has been provided. The “What's This?” feature is standard in DAZ Studio.

In providing the most flexibility, we've chosen to not limit you by forcing certain options for a given file type. Instead, we've provided you with more power by giving you some general options, and allowing you to set them as you wish - to create the file you want.
