LIE Fae Tattoos for Genesis 3 & 8 Female(s) is a set of 7 Full Body LIE Tattoos or body paints to apply to any of your mage or fantasy races. Each tattoo has been designed to allude to different role-playing classes such as the Druid, the Huntress, the Priestess, the Prophetess, the Shaman, and the Sorceress (plus an alternate Sorceress version of the tattoo).

Because we value the importance of customization, we’ve included extra Iray Material Presets so you can achieve your vision through additive effects.

23 Iray Emission Material Presets allow you to change the intensity, the color, and the temperature of the glow. 4 Iray Metallicity Material Presets allow four of the seven tattoos to be given a glittery look. And 23 Iray Overlay Material Presets give you control over a coat of color to use with or without the LIE tattoos, with presets to control the intensity of the overlay included for ease of use.

For added convenience, a remove presets and remove script have been included to strip your figure of the LIE Tattoos and/or the added effects.

Note: The end result relies on the skin settings of your character of choice, so some variation will occur. For Generation 3: these makeups will only apply correctly on characters using the Genesis 3 Base Female UVs. So these will display seams on other DAZ Generation 3 core characters since they all have different UVs.

• STEP 00 Prepare | How to choose which preset to use?
• We’ve included a script with instructions on how to choose which preset to use. Most Generation 3 characters have their specular map (looks a dark black and white version of the diffuse map) set up in the “Glossy Layered Weight” channel inside DAZ Studio under surfaces (windows > panes > surfaces). So the LIE for Generation 3 will add the spec map on that channel.
• However, some Generation 8 characters (especially monsters) seem to also set the specular map on this channel. For that reason, we recommend checking where the spec map has been placed before applying the LIE.
• If the Spec map is located in the “Dual Lobe Specular Reflectivity” channel, then you want to apply the Generation 8 LIE Presets.
• This only matters when it comes to the LIE. The effects (emission, overlay and metallicity), on the other hand, don’t have any repercussions so you can apply either generation’s and it will work.
• Another thing you want to keep an eye on before applying the LIE is on the normal map. Select your figure’s torso and under surfaces, scroll down to the normal map channel. If there’s a map, you can apply the LIEs from Step 01. If there is no map, however, be sure to apply the “LFT 00 Empty Normal” material preset BEFORE applying any of the LIEs.
• Almost all Generation 8 characters have normal maps included (but there are exceptions, mostly monsters) but almost NONE of Generation 3 characters come with the map. So chances are that if you’re using a Generation 3 character, you’ll need to apply this preset first.

• Step 01 | You’ll find the LIE presets here. These will take a while to apply since they add several layers to your character’s map for the tattoo effect.

• Step 02 | You’ll find the material presets for effects here. You can use these presets even without the LIE option for greater variation (like if you’d want only the overlay blended at a lower value or just the emission).

• Step 03 | You’ll find the remove presets here as well as a handy script to remove the LIE tattoos. Keep in mind that the script will remove ALL LIE layers, not just this product.

• Important note:
• The end result after applying the LIE makeups relies on the skin settings of your character of choice, so some variation will occur. For Generation 3: remember that these makeups will only apply correctly on characters using the Genesis 3 Base Female UVs. So characters for any of the DAZ Generation 3 core characters will show seams since they have different UVs.
