“Comic Kit 2” includes 15 iconic word props to help in your storytelling renders. Whether you're doing graphic novels, comics or just want to give your renders some flare, these iconic marks will certainly help you out! Each prop's shape can be modified via 14 dynamic morphs which will allow you to twist, stretch, bend, expand and contract the typography. Also, we've included 3 Iray material presets in the form of designer sets for each prop. However, all the materials can be mixed and match with different words for varying results. If you're feeling creative and wish to personalize the materials, we've also included a DIY kit that includes several Iray materials presets so you can: add textures, overlays, and transparency masks to help you achieve your vision. All you'll need to do is add the colors yourself via the surfaces pane. In total, you get 204 Iray Material Presets, but with the ability to mix and match the sky is the limit! What's more, we've followed the same color scheme from the first Comic Kit so you can use all the materials seamlessly across both packs. Use this pack to punctuate actions your characters are taking or simply use the words to decorate the scene, the choice is yours!

• This Comic Kit 2 has been designed to allow you to give your renders that iconic typographic look to help describe the action of your characters. The pack includes:
  • 15 common comic word props with up to 14 morphs each to alter their shapes.
  • Iray material presets meant to help you create the perfect look via:
  • 7 Base textures material presets for each element.
  • 13 Overlay Masks material presets for each element.
  • 14 Cutout Masks material presets for each element.
  • 6 Emission presets.
• 42 Designer Sets Material presets (3 styles per word), though most materials should work with different words. The following information details the folder structure for “Comic Kit 2”:
  • Props / FenixPhoenix / Comic Kit 2
• The Material Presets included in the DIY kit will load without colors. You can add colors through the surface panes (window > panes > surface).
  • Base Color = will “paint” the texture.
  • Overlay Color = will give color to the overlay mask.
  • Emission = will also load white, so remember to add color!
• Transparency = will load maps into the cutout opacity. White is what's visible, black is what's transparent.
• If you only want to apply a material preset from the DIY kit to one surface. For example, let's say you want to apply it to the front only:
  • In the surface panes select the front.
  • Pressing ctrl (windows) or command (mac) click on whichever material preset you’ll like to add.
  • A window (Material Preset Load Option) will pop-up. In Options, set Surfaces to “selected” and Images to “replace”.
  • Hit accept and you’ll notice the material preset only got applied to your selected surface.
• Use this trick to further personalize your words. Just remember that some textures/masks also move the tiling, so some combinations might not work as intended.
