The Northern Lights are a natural light show caused by disturbances in the magnetosphere by solar wind. Aurora Borealis Prop and Lights lets you unleash their power and use them in any render you please!

Aurora Borealis Prop and Lights includes 14 presets that display a wide range of glowing colors and 10 that render as common elements such as metal, stone, water, smoke, and ice. The prop can be used as a stand-alone light source, and to give you more freedom and functionality with light placement and color, a group of 50 point lights is also included and to expand your possibilities, two morphs allow you to to twist, raise height, or invert the prop. Finally, the Northern Lights are yours!

Additional Details

  • To change all the lights at once select one in the scene pane, right click on it, and select all lights.
  • It’s best to have the AB lights between your camera and the AB props if you don’t want them to render, otherwise they may show as glowing spheres.
  • The AB prop is not a Smart Prop for figures, you’ll need to scale and transition it into place.
  • Depth of field and bloom settings are very useful for creating a soft glow in your renders.
  • If using the AB prop in the background try moving the lights over your camera to light the scene with Aurora Borealis colors.
  • A dimly lit environment setting or night HDRI works best with these props.
