Additional Details

  • General Morph Types:
    • The dress of this product loads with a selection of morphs and control dials (for the shins) designed to help you with fitting it. The morph categories are as follows:
      • - Adjustments: Alter shape and fit of a piece.
      • - Movement: wind, twirl, lift and general movement morphs.
      • - Styles: contains shaping morphs which are designed to allow you to use mulitple outfit pieces together.
      • - Controls: controls movement of the shin parts.
    • The dress comes with a special style morph named “Hide Dress mid”. This will adjust the belt to fit more snugly around the torso of Genesis, and should only be used when the surface “dress_mid” on the dress is hidden by setting the cutout opacity value to 0.
  • How to work with the Sylph Outfit and dForce:
    • If you want to set up a dForce simulation, please take the following steps:
      • 1 - Load G8F into your scene
      • 2 - Apply your chosen wearable preset to G8F
      • 3 - Set up an animation with 61 frames (you can raise this value if you want the dress and sleeves to settle and drape fully)
      • 4 - In frame 1, set a keyframe (click on the little key icon with the plus symbol inside, to the far right end of the bottom icon bar) with Genesis in default pose and your freshly loaded simulation ready wearables preset
      • 5 - Go to frame 25, select a pose for Genesis, then add a new keyframe in pose 25
      • 6 - Go to the Simulation tab inside DAZ Studio and change the following default settings: Start Bones from Memorized Pose - OFF, Frames To Simulate: Animated (Use Timeline Play Range), Collision Mesh Resolution: Viewport
      • 7 - Hit the “Simulate” Button!
    • If you are encountering problems with the sleeves getting stuck between the fingers, you can use the parameter “Initialization Time” at 1. This will drape the sleeves and dress over the default poses G8F before the posing starts.
    • We have provided a simulation preset which you can apply to adjust your parameters. It can be found in the “Utilities” folder of your Sylph Outfit content folder.
    • In case you are running into one of the dreaded “mesh explosions”, you can also apply the provided shader preset “Reduce Mesh Explosion”, also found in the “Utility” folder. Clear your current simulation which is causing the explosion, go back to frame 1 and apply said shader to the garments which are causing the issues. Make sure your simulation settings are adjusted as mentioned above. Then rerun the simulation.
  • Managing the Oversleeves:
    • If the oversleeves create some clipping between with the sleeve figure after simulation, there is an easy way to fix this. You have to set the collision object of the oversleeves to be the Sylph sleeves. To do this, select the oversleeves and locate the “Collision Item” in the parameters tab. Normally it uses Genesis 8 Female, but you can select the oversleeves in the pulldown menu.
  • How to use the Hierarchical Material Presets:
    • These presets will apply the texture set of your choice to dress and pantie at once.
    • To use them, follow the steps below:
      • 1 - Load G8F into your scene
      • 2 - Apply the full wearable preset of your choice to G8F
      • 3 - Select the Hierarchical Material Preset of your choice. With G8F selected, simply click on the preset.
  • Texture resource note:
    • The outfit textures were created using photo resources purchased on www.textures.com.
