Product Information

  • Required Products: None

Spice up your fantasy or sci-fi renders with this Special FX collection! Included are lots of different special effects like magical effects, runes, laser beams, lightnings and blasts, smoke and explosions. The usage is simple by just placing a base prop and changing materials for the desired effect. Lots of adjustment options are included as well, like luminescence intensity, opacity and color adjustments.

The effect can be of course scaled to any size, rotated and translated in the scene as you need it (so that you can use it in any angle, horizontal or vertical etc.). More than one effect can be added too of course by just adding more SFX props to the scene.

You can change the color, opacity and luminescence to any value manually in the surface tab or use the included adjustment presets.

Choose from 35 base effects, 9 beams, 9 blasts, 6 explosions, 6 lightnings and 5 smoke effects in different colors.

Very useful for your fantasy and sci-fi scenes but also for war scenes (smoke and explosions) or used as huge environment effects, like lightnings. Larger scaled smoke effects with a lower opacity are also very useful as fog for instance.

This product is for Iray only!

Additional Details

  • Use the “FX-Base” as helper to position the effect where you want it to have.
  • The “FX-Base” is set to not render, there is no need to hide it from the scene.
  • If you want to translate, rotate or scale the effect, just select the “FX-Base” and make your adjustments.
  • To change the materials also select the “FX-Base”. For some options it is needed to select the “FX” itself, like opacity changes (it is noted where applicable).
  • You can set the LUMINANCE UNITS to a higher unit (like KCD/M2) for more intense effects.
  • You can also change the BASE COLOR and EMISSION COLOR to any color you like.
  • Color Adjustment Presets work in relation to the base color of the FX, so the results may vary depending of the FX that is used.
  • The smoke intensity is set by adjusting the opacity (manually or with the provided presets). The lower the opacity the less dense the smoke will appear.
  • To point the effect exactly at the currently used camera simple go to the PARAMATER tab of the FX-BASE to the MISC group and choose the camera you need it to point at in the “Point At” dropdown menu.
