Now you can update an entire scene to Iray shaders with four clicks! This script makes it easy! Whether it's 3Delight or Poser legacy shaders, the script easily detects and updates different materials, even water, metal, and mesh lights. This script converts 3Delight lights in the scene to photometric lights so that they will still light your scene in Iray!

Not only that, but it includes figure materials for Victoria and Michael 4, Genesis, and Genesis 2 3Delight and Poser materials. There is a full manual in .pdf format linked from the Scripts folder that also teaches you how to add your own shader choices to the script through the easy-to-use interface in Daz Studio.

Using your legacy library in Iray has never been easier than it is with the 3Delight to Iray Converter!

Additional Details

  • You may need to manually click the shader if you have a very large or very small water object that ends up looking invisible or too opaque after the script runs (this is covered in the manual in more detail). Similarly, the script contains a lighter rubber shader that is not applied automatically.
  • If using this script with Anagenesis, Beautiful Skin, or other Iray skin shader update sets, apply the script first and the other shaders afterward.
  • It is recommended that you delete the skydome from scenes if your render seems to be running too long and replace it with an HDRI or 2D backdrop. If the skydome seems too bright/whited out, put the skydome's diffuse map into the emissive color channel in the Surfaces tab.
  • This product contains scripts that include source or derivative code from the following Scripting Samples:
