Iray Decal Kit contains a suite of over 50 presets for not only irays built-in projected decal system, but also a simple plane-based system for flat surfaces. The presets include cracks, dirt, stains, blood, trash and more. Decals are a fantastic addition to your creative arsenal, and this suite will give you a jump-start in their deployment.

What are decals? - Decals, much like their real life counterparts, are almost like stickers on a surface. They are projected textures used to add variety to a surface without extensive texture editing of the original model. Decals are completely independent from the target figure which also allows for completely independent shading. They can be used on anything from people, to vehicles, to environments and beyond.

Plane based decals? - It's an alternative to the projection based decals included with daz. Plane decals are great for flat walls and surfaces, allowing you to break up tiling and add details quickly. They are also completely visible in the viewport, which saves going back and forth between interactive and static views.

What if I've never used decals? - Got you covered! There is a short and simple tutorial included with the set to get you started. There is only a very small learning curve to decal usage, it won't take very long to master.
