Add a little MORE sparkle to your renders! The final second volume contains gemstone textures and Iray shaders for all your rendering needs. Simply add them to any object, and you have instant gemstone textures. You can use them for jewelry, clothing, weapons, crystal balls, skulls and more! You could even use the solid gems to texture tiled floors and other architectural details. If you are a vendor, you can use the shaders and the textures in your own sets.

This volume contains 44 shaders and 52 seamless texture maps. Some of the textures are from personal photos taken at high resolution with a macro, while the others are created to closely mimic the gemstones in appearance.

There are 15 Rutilated Gems with refraction (though, these are more rough than those in the first volume, with different rutilation and color) 23 new Solid/Opaque Gems with high gloss as well as refraction and translucence where appropriate, and last but not least… 9 new sparkly gems in the form of opals, which are also translucent to varying degrees, to properly mimic opal.

Additional Details

  • The uv tile scales on the shaders are at an optimized size for its matching texture, so it can be used quickly while setting up scenes for rendering art. You may need to scale them up/down with certain meshes as well (depending on how big the uv's are, as they vary from set to set) However, if opting to use as merchant resource, you will have to tweak the scales back to 1.00 on the shaders, as you would scale the included textures down on the map instead.
  • Opal shaders are controlled by 2 maps - the base and the fleck color map, so be sure to use both when using as a vendor resource. You can also easily change the color of the flecks by changing its color map to any that are in the set. Recommend contrasting colors, however, so they will show up better.
