Product Information

Ocean Dwellings is a complete self contained environment with an Ocean-House, Jetty, Boat, Islands, Palms, Hi Resolution Trees, Bridges, Rocks, Bunker and Ocean Water.

It includes a basic version of the Iray Worlds SkyDome with a movable illuminating sun and an amazing 12000 x 3000 HD sky, plus detailed ground textures and a very realistic horizon backdrop.

Everything you see in the main images is included, and you get all this at a very reasonable price, nothing else is required. It also includes 12 Camera Pre sets for many different camera views of this environment.

It is also very easy to manipulate and navigate within the Daz Viewports and it renders at a good speed under Iray compared to many other products.

If you own the Iray Worlds SkyDome and possibly the add on Iray SkyDome Super PAK, then the further creative potential is huge because these very reasonably priced packages add countless new options to set your Ocean Dwellings Scene in. (See Popup Images 4, 7, 8 & 9)

The original Iray Worlds packages contains a perfect world model plus huge variety of water textures, ground textures, horizon backdrops and skies, along with preset scenes and total control over the sun's illumination, position and also secondary light from the skies as well.

Plus you can take the any of the individual components from this pak such as Trees, Palms, Islands and Bridges and they will fit right into any other Iray Skydome Scenes you decide to create using the original Iray Worlds Skydome and Iray Skydone Superpak.

Magix-101 is the original designer and creator of several groundbreaking World Kits for Daz Studio and Poser and has well over a decades experience in building ultra realistic and extremely versatile World Kits with many advanced features and a low polygon count.

Ocean Dwellings is one of many packages that will sit perfectly inside the Iray Worlds Skydome and Superpak, but can be used as a total standalone complete 3D Environment as well.

Build your Daz Worlds without breaking your bank.

  • Setup
    • Install “Ocean Dwellings” as directed by your installation setup.
    • Open Daz Studio, Go to “My Daz 3D Library” or “My Library”, then navigate to Environments/Magix-101/Iray-Worlds/Ocean-Dwellings
    • You will see the Main Icons “1_Ocean House IR-Worlds” double click on it to create your scene, now render it. Or you can Right Click and select “Merge into Scene” if you are already working with a pre-existing scene, keep in mind though the Merge option will not load the Iray Render Settings!
    • It's that simple.
  • Tips and Tricks
    • If you want different Camera Views of this scene then select the “Film-Cam” in your scene and go to the Cameras Folder and double click one of the 12 Camera Views to get a different Scene View.
    • To change the Suns position simply select the IR-base in your scene and open it and then select the IR-Sun and then navigate to Parameters/Translation and change the Suns position.
    • Or an easier way is to turn of the IR-Skydome (Eye) and select a Top or Front View, then select 2 or 3 items from your scene such as The OceanHouse and the Sun and select the “View-Frame” Icon in the Daz Viewport, you should now be able to see the IR-Sun.
    • Simply grab the Translate Tool and move it to where you want.
    • Keep the other Daz Viewport open and viewing through the Film-Cam and on the Nvidia IRay Setting so you can see how it looks.
    • Of course if you have the Iray-Skydome already all you need to do is select the Sun and then use one of the many pre sets that will change the Sun's position, color, luminance etc…
    • I hope you enjoy using Ocean-Dwellings in your Daz Scenes.
