Dynamic Classics for Victoria 7 & Genesis 3 Female(s) is a collection of Dynamic Clothing originally created for Victoria 4, a premiere 3D model, now rigged for Genesis 3 Female, which makes them compatible with Victoria 7 and Genesis 3 Base Female. They will fit other characters with different rates of success depending on rigging and scaling. As an extra this set also includes 3 items of clothing previously created for the male shape of Michael 4 but adapted thru rigging and scaling of clothes panel to the female shape (casual shirt, tank-top and gym shorts).

Rigged for Genesis 3 Female, this means your clothes conform to the figure so you have an option between static and animated drapes. You can pose your figure and your clothing follows your pose like conforming clothes, then you hit your drape button and the Optitex Dynamics engine drapes your outfit around your figure eliminating pokethru and creating folds unique to your pose.

Dynamic Clothing flows with your character's shape in a more natural way. With conforming clothes, even when the creator has included several morphs created using other software's dynamic engines there will be a pose these pre-packaged morphs can't hit in a natural way. Particularly difficult fits are extreme poses or shapes, where animated draping is recommended. Nothing fits more natural than Dynamic Clothing where they flow around your Figure creating exciting visual details with wrinkles and folds that dynamically change depending on your pose - enhancing realism in your renders. Once you take the time to understand how to master dynamic simulations it will become a new arsenal that you can put to use on your work. This set has enough items to keep you busy learning and creating with this more advanced type of 3D clothes.

Additional Details

  • Product Notes:
  • When rendering in Iray it is advisable to:
    • 1 - To freeze the simulation for more stability.
    • 2 - We recommend you add a smoothing modifier prior to running your simulation since it makes dynamic clothes in Iray look better. (Scene Tab/Edit/Geometry/Apply smoothing modifier) Smoothing Type works best as Generic. Iterations can be left at 2. Choose your model as Collision item.
    • 3 - A Smoothing modifier is almost enough to make the cloth look good but you can also try converting the resulting mesh to SubDivision using Edit/Geometry/Convert To SubD. Again prior to running any simulation. Do not use Bilinear subdivision as it will give you jagged clothing folds, Catmull Clark Legacy seems to work best in Iray.
    • 4 - Increase Texture Resolution in the Advanced Tab of the Render Settings Panel to 2048 Medium Threshold and 4096 High Threshold.
  • The Casual Shirt has multiple styles:
    • You need to switch styles in the Garment panel in the Dynamic Clothes tab.
    • You will find it at the bottom of the tab under “Styles Default Category”
  • The Gym Shorts were created with alternate UVs:
    • There is a bug in Daz Studio DUF files that affects Dynamic Clothes where the original Default UVs will persist so when you load the Gym Shorts into the scene it's texture map may not look right.
    • It usually corrects itself once you drape the shorts (run a simulation).
    • Sometimes when there is more than one set of Gym Shorts in the scene the bug will persist. Then you need to go to your surfaces tab and switch the UV Set from “Default UVs” to “M5_Gym Shorts”.
  • Dynamic Clothing is un-selectable by default in the viewport. You select the clothes in the Garment Tab of the Dynamic Clothes pane.
