Additional Details

  • General Notes
    • If you use the hair with the Mbali Wrap, don't forget to use the included “Ear In for Wrap or Band” ear morph for the Genesis 2 Females. This will not ruin the wrap shape because auto follow is turned off.
    • The hair has several very different morphs. Because of the unique shapes, most of the morphs do not combine well with each other, although some of them may be use together at low value.
    • There are 2 main styles included. In the Shaping Tab there are groups to separate them.
    • For style 2 you have to use the “!Style2 - SET 1 FOR USING MORPHS BELOW!” dial at first. The style morphs will not dial it automatically for a reason.
    • Both styles have a “Band” shape. They look the same, but the S1 Band may combine (at low value) with some S1 style morphs and the S2 Band may combine (at low value) with some S2 style morphs. Only these Band morphs are intended to use with the Mbali Wrap.
    • You may notice the strands has opened ends. There is a “Close Tip” morph if you like it better. This works with the Style 1 shapes and some of the Style 2 shapes too. However there are some shapes where the opened end is the part of the style to imitate rolled up hair. This is the reason why the close tip is not 'default'.
    • The Style 2 – Short 2, Short 3 and Short 4 were made for fun :) Better to use with the Material set 1, with strong displacement (material preset is included) and mainly with the black hair color. These shapes are not suitable for close up renders. However there are 2 transparency options for these hairstyles if you really want to use in closer view.
    • Some head morphs may cause distortion in the Wrap, like ear and some other face morphs. If you feel the band or maybe the hair looks strange, go to the Parameters Tab, click on the panel options on the top corner and check “Show hidden properties”. On the tab select the “Currently Used' option and you will see what morphs are in use in the band. Here you can eliminate unnecessary morphs which are not important and may cause weird look in the band (or hair).
  • Material Presets
    • There are CAPS materials for some of the hair strands. Note, these kind of materials may look weird with some shapes.
    • Do not forget, you can use these hair materials with Fara Hair or Fara Hair presets with Mbali Hair if you own both of them.
  • Using Mbali material presets on the Fara Hair:
    • Apply any of these presets even the materials with Caps and then do not forget to apply one of the Fara scalp transparency.
  • Using Fara materials with Mbali Hair:
    • Apply any of those presets even the Add Caps and Add Ring presets and then do not forget to apply Mbali scalp transparency from this folder.
