Temples to the ancient Romans were places where sacrifices could be made to the gods. They also performed a political function, as statements to the Roman people both at home and in the provinces of the strength and majesty of Rome.
This is a model of a temple in the ionic order, on a high podium as was common in ancient Rome. This temple is a bit worn and old; it can be used in contemporary Roman scenes, or as a feature in modern scenes. It's based on examples in central Rome, in Pompeii, and Nimes, France.
