The Steppes - Rock Outcrops is a stand alone environment set of step cliff terraces, with a large stylized underpass for those lone warriors on horseback, or the big marauding army's approach. Perfect for an unexpected ambush, or a fighter last stand, the locals call it, Dog's Head Pass. This versatile and realistic terrain can work with fantasy, medieval, western, contemporary and post apocalyptic scenes, not to mention for showcasing nature itself.
Originally envisioned as a well designed compliment to the Rolling Plains Morphing Terrain, Its true value and versatility is in how the meshes merge with other environment sets. With built-in modular functionality, these models can revitalize and invigorate existing environments like Old Waterhole, Hidden Waterfalls, Rocky Flat, and Spiral Descent. The positioned presets seen in the promos are included to quickly add the Steppes cliffs into these other environment if you have use for them.
With various material zones the cliffs can be merged into any environment . And with the East and West outcrops moving independent of each other and whatever terrain they are placed on, very complex terrain designs can be achieved quickly and effortlessly.
The props set includes the promo light sets and camera angles used in the promo images. The backdrop sky .jpeg is included as well. There are also .mat files allowing you to change the top of the cliff's texture from grass, to dirt, or rock depending on the location it is placed in.
