Hit Ctrl+U to open the Hue/Saturation box.
Tick “Colorize” and play around with the color until you get the skin color you want. In my case, yellowish instead of blue and purple.
Make sure you get the colors right because it's the colors that we will be focusing on. After that, go to Filter > Blur >
Gaussian Blur and blur it to taste.
Just optional touch-ups in case the final picture is too dark.
Hit Ctrl+U and adjust the “Lightness” bar until you get a good color on the skin. Play around with the “Hue” bar too if you still got the color a bit wrong.
