This is a step-by-step guide with screen shots that shows you how to install either ExP base figure (V4.2 Base and Michael 4 Base) into DAZ Studio on the Mac.
Download the Base installer for the M4 or V4 figure. The installer must have the name shown below. If the name includes something else like 'DS,' then it is not the actual base installer, but just a support file. Make sure you have exact file shown below for the product you are using. Only the file below will install the figure base.
Victoria 4.2 Base ps_pe069_Victoria4MAC.app
Michael 4 Base 7877_1_dpc_M4BaseMAC.app
This is the Bit Rock installer for the V4.2 Base figure.
Double-click the installer to launch it.
Choose the correct target directory, applications\DAZStudio\Content. If you choose a different directory, like just 'DAZStudio,' then the content will not display right.
Setup tells you it will begin writing files to your hard drive for the product.
Setup writes the files.
Setup tells you that a shortcut for initialization has been placed on the desktop.
Setup tells you that it is complete. Actually, it is only half complete. The initialization will write important files for the figure.
The initialization and readme options are next. We recommend you leave both of these boxes checked. If the installation is not initialized, the morphs won't work correctly. It's also possible to run the initialization manually.
Setup tells you initialization is complete
The readme appears and tells you where to find the content in the Content Tab
Your product is installed. If you have purchased a morph add-on, you can now install it.
